CREATE operates in four sections of business:
Sortation |
Refurbishment |
Retailing |
Training |
In Liverpool we work in all four sections. But they can operate independently or in combination with one other section.
Sortation White goods sortation centres are warehouse operations receiving white goods collected locally from a variety of sources, generally local councils, retail groups or manufacturers. Appliances are sorted according to their suitability for refurbishment, treatment, export or recycling.
Refurbishment White goods refurbishment operations are workshop facilities carrying out thorough testing, repair and cleaning of appliances to consistent quality standards in order to sell them on.
Retailing White goods retail operations sell refurbished appliances to the public. Sales will be principally to low-income households although there are also opportunities to market to social landlords and to other charitable organisations.
Training Salaried training operations provide on the job training and work experience for long term unemployed adults and others at a disadvantage in the labour market, enabling them to move on into permanent sustainable jobs.
